That's because old progress wipes new Hitman 3 progress, meaning players with a long history of unlocks, location mastery, challenge completion and profile XP are essentially locked out of playing the new game. This is particularly frustrating for Hitman 2 players with hours of progress, because transferring that to Hitman 3 is a process that needs to be done before playing Hitman 3. UPDATE: According to a statement given to Eurogamer, IO says that Hitman 3 players should now be able to carry over their Hitman 2 data.
